Post podcast follow-up
By Chris Weaver • Nov 11th, 2008 • Category: Common Grind NewsWell guys, just want to keep you all updated on what’s happening in the world of Common Grind, a week after the release of our third coffee podcast. Firstly, I am choosing to be discrete about this first bit of news for the time being. But I had some fantastic news sat in my inbox yesterday which will help Common Grind get its name to a massive audience. Needless to say, I’m preparing the servers for a lot of bandwidth. I shall be more candid when I know more.
However, even without this fantastic news, the podcast is doing better than I could of hoped. Due to a mix up with statistics and the re-location of some old files. It turns out that my downloads are better than I ever could have hoped, with the first podcast downloaded 130 times, the second a fantastic 197, and the third 70 times, a fantastic ten a day from the release, I could not be more happy with these figures. Also thanks to everyone for the kind feedback, it all helps, and ensures I will continue working on this podcast to make it everything you guys want it to be.
On the back of this success with the podcast, I’ve been working hard for the last seven days, behind the scenes, to keep everything rolling, and hopefully keep Common Grind on the tip of as many tongues as possible. Today I finally signed the contract with a designer to get the tee-shirt design done within a month, and also to get a business card designed and printed. So keep an eye out for some promo photo’s of the tee-shirt and hopefully the opening of pre-orders for the tee-shirts. Price TBC.
Also on the 26th of November, I shall be making an appearing and the UKBC barista jam at Pumphreys Coffee in Newcastle. I will be participating as I feel I have a lot to learn, and there’s a lot of experience to leech off up there. So if you’re about, come and say hi. I’ll be the super excited short guy with glasses and shiny new business cards.
Well guys, that’s it for news, will start work filling in the cupping notes library for a week or so, and then cracking on with the next podcast, time flies!
